PURPOSE:To perform the stable and accurate communication regardless of the distance between the non-contact IC card and the non-contact IC card reader/writer. CONSTITUTION:A transmission width setting circuit 125 sets the transmission width less than 1 bit of data. A modulation circuit 122 forms a modulation signal with the transmission width set by the circuit 125 by modulating a carrier clock signal S5 from a frequency divider 123 by means of serial data S4 from a UART 15 and sends it from a transmission antenna 11 through a power amplifier circuit 121.
