摘要 PURPOSE:To set a voltage impressed on a double mode wave guiding channel device to an optimum value for detecting unsymmetrical property of phase distribution or unsymmetrical property of amplitude distriution in a short time in simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A light outgoing from a light source 1 is converged on the plane of incidence of one single mode wave guiding channel 4 formed on a base plate 3 having an electro-optical effect by means of a lens 2. The light propagated in the single mode wave guiding channel 4 is propagated to a double mode wave guiding channel 7 through a branched territory 5, and emitted from the emission end of the double mode wave guiding channel 7 of the base plate 3. This outgoing light is detected by a television camera 8, and the intensity pattern of the outgoing light is displayed on a monitor 9. Voltage is adjusted while observing this intensity pattern.
