The present invention relates to an oven equipped with a raisable door. As the impermeability is guaranteed only by good functioning of the door in the region of the opening of the cavity of the oven, the invention envisages equipping the oven with a device (4, 5) for holding and positioning the door (3) which makes it possible to make this door pass between a closed position and a raised position according to an essentially circular trajectory such that the door arrives perpendicularly to the plane containing the opening (14) of the oven in closed position. The impermeability is then ensured by a sealing device (6) placed between the rim of the opening and the interior of the door. <IMAGE>
