PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce the time required for simulation and to realize high speed simulation specially when a large scale circuit such as a MOSLSI circuit is selected as a simulation object about a method and a device for circuit simulation which perform circuit simulation of a simulation object circuit. SOLUTION: Plural partial circuits which should perform equivalence verification about whether to show an equivalent operation characteristic or not are extracted from a simulation object circuit (S1), the intensity of influence from an external terminal is evaluated by tracing the route from the external terminal of the object circuit to a prescribed terminal of each partial circuit (S2), a partial circuit that shows equivalence property is detected by performing equivalence verification based on the configuration of a partial circuit, the connection relation of an input terminal to which the partial circuit corresponds, the operation characteristic of a component to which the partial circuit corresponds and the intensity of influence from the external terminal (S3) and circuit simulation is performed after partial circuits are gathered into one and circuit compression is performed (S4). |
