PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect both transfer amount and retransfer amount and to adequately adjust such image producing conditions as transfer output in a tandem image forming device. SOLUTION: In this tandem image forming device, at least one of transfer positions of second or subsequent photoreceptors along a carrying direction is defined as an object transfer position, image density on a recording sheet or a transfer belt is detected on an upstream side in the carrying direction of the object transfer position by a first density detecting sensor, image density on the recording sheet or the transfer belt 10 is detected on a downstream side in the carrying direction of the object transfer position by a second density detecting sensor, an image producing condition adjusting means compares the detection value of the first density detecting sensor with that of the second density detecting sensor, and adjusts the image producing condition of the image to be transferred on the object transfer position based on the result. |
