PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color PDP(plasma display pannel) filled with three- component gaseous mixture capable of prolonging service life, reducing operation voltage, and appropriately improving light emitting luminance and color purity by improving gas composition. SOLUTION: In this color PDP filled with three-component gaseous mixture, a discharge gas incorporated space is formed by sealing the peripheries of mutually parallel first and second substrates 1 and 2, an electrode for discharging discharge gas is provided on the inner surface of at least one substrate of the substrates 1 and 2, and a fluorescent layer 8 excited by ultraviolet ray generated by the gas discharge is provided. In the PDP, the gas charged in the discharge gas incorporated space is the three-component gaseous mixture of a xenon(Xe), a helium(He) and neon(Ne) and the concetration of the xenon is equal to that of the helium. |
