PURPOSE: An optical display apparatus is provided to give various visual effects by using rope lights of many lines which are turned on and off simultaneously or individually. CONSTITUTION: An optical display apparatus comprises a plurality of rope lights (611-1n,621-62n,..., 6n1-6nn) which are turned on and off according different on and off timings from each other. A pattern set part(1) sets a lighting and blackout of each rope light, and a time set part(3) adjusts a lighting and blackout time of each rope light. A plurality of control units(51-5n) sequentially turns on and off the color lamps which are installed in each rope light according to a control of a central processing unit(4).
