PURPOSE: A vest for both self-protection and protection against bullets is provided to protect the chest and back of a wearer without being perforated or stabbed even if the wearer is attacked from bullets or knives. CONSTITUTION: A vest is formed by: combining a chest plate(1) with a back plate(2) through shoulder strings(3,3a), left and right side strings(4,4a,5,5a) formed by a female and male magic tapes; and connecting a polycarbonate plate(8) to the inside of the breast plate by forming a pocket(7) opened or closed by an on-off port. Therefore, a wearer is able to easily use the waistcoat by controlling its size with the shoulder strings, the left and right side strings.
