PURPOSE: A method for transferring a digital signal is to generate one or more level converting in every unit of a data packet, though the level of a signal to be transferred through an optical cable is equally maintained, thereby reducing a factor of series signal. CONSTITUTION: A method for transferring a digital signal, in which a parallel digital signal of N bit is converted into a series digital signal and the digital signal is then transferred through an optical cable(31,32), comprises steps of coding the parallel digital signal of N bit into a parallel digital signal of N+1 bit so as to correspond with a data, which has the highest inverting number with a bit adjacent to each other, out of each data of the parallel digital signal of N+1 bit, converting the coded parallel digital signal of N+1 bit into a series digital signal, converting the converted series digital signal into an optical signal and transferring the optical signal through the optical cable. In the method, the parallel digital signal of N bit is a parallel digital signal of 8 bit. |
