An apparatus including a loading device and a device for gripping and retaining the free end (B1) of a sheet wound into a spare roll extending from a transverse plate (15) and arranged in front of a drum over all or part of the length thereof. The gripping device is actuated by closing the cover of the apparatus or by a mechanism extending from the apparatus housing. The gripping device is substantially aligned with the gap between the drum (6) and a pressure element (10) so that the paper sheet from the spare roll may be inserted. |
