PURPOSE: A communication relay device of an elevator is provided to connect communication lines of landings and a car with one network and for one central processing unit inside a group management to communicate with car and landings through network. CONSTITUTION: A main CPU(central processing unit) of group management unit operates normally without abnormality occurrence. Data transmitted from an elevator network device(308) or landing network devices(309A) are delivered to the CPU(303) through an interface unit(304). The CPU reprocesses received data to store the data in a dual port RAM(Read Only Memory)(302) as a shared memory. Throughout the process, the data are accessed upon demand to be fed to the main CPU of the group management unit via interface and group management bus(bus31). Assignment data, prediction data, and extra data are stored in the dual port RAM(302) over the path under the control of the main CPU to be accessed by passing the interface unit(304), an integral network(NET31) and an elevator network device(308) sequentially for delivery to the corresponding elevator.
