PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the intervention of a middleman when a pocket beeper is called and to shorten time of the intervention and eliminate erroneous intervention by discriminating an answering telephone set by using an identification code and transferring a call from the answering telephone set to a calling telephone set. CONSTITUTION:Once a calling telephone set 1 dials the numbers of a pocket beeper 5, a pocket beeper controller 9 of a private branch exchange 2 calls the pocket beeper 5 through the exchange 2, a network 3, and a pocket beeper calling device 4. When a called party additionally dials specific identification code of his own after dialing an answer number from the nearest telephone set 6, the controller 9 identifies the calling telephone set 1 from the identification code and transfers the answer call from the called party to the calling telephone set 1, and the calling party answers it, so that a communication becomes possible. Consequently, the answer of the pocket beeper can be connected directly to the calling telephone set without the intervention of any middleman to shorten intervention time and eliminate erroneous intervention. |
