PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic motor which has a high conversion efficiency of electrical-mechanical energy and can reduce an unneeded heat build-up. CONSTITUTION:The title motor consists of an elastic body, two lamination-type piezoelectric elements 5 and 6 which are fixed to the elastic body, and a member to be driven which is pressed to the above elastic body and then a longitudinal vibration and a flex vibration are generated at the above elastic body by applying AC voltages whose phases are shifted by +90 and -90 degrees each other by a phase shifter 2, thus driving a member to be driven. Then, the amplitudes of AC voltages to be applied to two lamination-type piezoelectric elements 5 and 6 are allowed to differ by amplifiers 3 and 4 which can switch a voltage amplification factor being linked to the phase shifter 2, thus inverting the difference in the amplitudes being locked to the inversion of phases by the phase shifter 2. |
