PURPOSE:To widen the width of the sound stage of a sound localized ahead of a listener without changing the arrangement of speakers. CONSTITUTION:Aural correction is performed by generating a sound pressure signal 8 and velocity signals 7 and 9 from a right channel sound signal 2 and a left channel sound signal 3 related to the outside localization of the sound localized ahead of the listener rather from the sound signals of multiple channels and passing the sound pressure signal and the velocity signals through shelf filters 10, 11 and 12. Afterwards, the sound signals to be reproduced by plural speakers are generated by a matrix circuit 13. Remaining input signals 4 and 5 in the sound signals are added to the relevant generated signals and reproduced by the five-channel speakers. |
