PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a high-quality image over a long term by improving the deterioration of electrification performances and the shaving of an image carrier caused by the excessive soiling of an electrifying member by developer, that is, realizing the improvement of the stability of electrification potential and the prolongation of the life of the image carrier in a cleaner-less system image recorder. SOLUTION: This image recorder is provided with an auxiliary electrifying member 8 abutting on the surface of the image carrier 1 after a transfer stage and a nip forming member 9 for forming a nip (c) by coming into contact with the electrifying member 2. Bias having the same polarity as the bias of a transfer means 6 is applied to the member 8. The member 8 is constituted of a fur brush. The member 8 comes into contact with the member 2. Then, bias having the same polarity as the member 2 and a larger absolute value is applied to the member 9. |
