<p>PURPOSE:To settle the accounts for the order of merchandise and the payment of the price with a card by sending the catalog image data of merchandise through a line or the like to a terminal and thereby unnecessitating the sending of a catalog. CONSTITUTION:Any desired merchandise is selected from catalog images displayed on a display part 1 by operating an operation part 2, and a magnetic card is inserted to a card processing part 3. The data of the desired merchandise and the card are sent from the automatic order processing terminal to a host computer, and the host computer judges whether the card is valid or invalid by using a main control part 11. When the card is valid, the main control part 11 sends data such as the address of a customer and the code of merchandise to an order processing part 10, and the order processing part 10 performs the procedure of ordering. Successively, the approval of order reception is reported from the host computer to the automatic order processing terminal, and a slip issue part 4 issues the slip of ordering. Thus, a series of work from the ordering of merchandise to the payment of the price are completed.</p> |
