摘要 The thermoelectric generator comprises a set of thermocouples whose junctions (14) are situated on opposite faces of generator, which are associated with heat-exchangers (18,20) made of dielectric and refractive material such as ceramic. The surface of contact with surrounding medium is at least several times greater than the surface of junctions or the face of generator comprising the junctions. The thermocouples are formed of electroconducting elements (12), in particular metallic wires of two different natures, and the extremities are connected in pairs by soldering to form the junctions. The heat-exchangers (18,20) are in the form of radiators equipped with heat-exchange elements (22), e.g. spikes or wings. The thermocouples are formed of polycrystalline semiconductor elements with n-type and p-type doping, respectively, and electrically linked at extremities to form junctions. The semiconductor elements are on the basis of silicon and/or germanium, and are doped in bulk. The thermocouples are placed in a housing (10) made of dielectric and refractory material such as ceramic, and the junctions (14) of thermocouples are associated with the heat-exchangers (18,20). The heat-exchangers are mechanically independent of the housing to allow for differential thermal expansion of the housing. The housing is in two parts which are axially superimposed and mutually independent. The thermocouples are between junctions also embedded in dielectric and refractory material such as ceramic. Teh surface of contact with a hot gas is about 7 times greater than that of the radiator layer (16), and the resistance to the heat transfer by convection between the hot and the cold junctions is about 5 times lower; the thermal power traversing the generator is about 20% higher, and the electrical power produced by the generator is about 30% higher.
