MASK FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR COLOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: A mask frame assembly for color CRT is provided to prevent reduction of tensile force of mask caused due to the difference of heat expansion volume between the mask and frame, while reducing howling caused due to the vibration of mask. CONSTITUTION: A mask frame assembly comprises first and second support members(121,122) spaced apart from each other; first and second resilient support members interposed between the first and second support members so as to support the first and second support member, and which include support sections(123a,123b) fixed to the first and second support members, respectively, and a connection section(123c) connecting the support sections; a mask(110) mounted to the support members such that a tensile force is applied to the mask, and which has a plurality of electron beam passage holes; and a correction unit mounted to the first and second support members between the connection section and the mask, a which is made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the first and second resilient support members.
