PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preventing the erroneous insertion of a disk which prevents adverse effects on an apparatus and a disk by reliably suppressing the erroneous insertion of a new disk after the disk is housed. SOLUTION: A fixed chassis 10 which is placed in the main body of a disk recorder/player, houses and guides a disk 1, and has first erroneous insertion prevention projections 12, is provided. The apparatus has a movable chassis 20 which is supported in the fixed chassis 10 in a floating state, has a side 21 and an upper surface 22, and is provided with a turntable 26 in the inside, and in which the disk 1 is placed to be recorded or played back. An arm member 30 which is turnably supported in the movable chassis 20 for moving a roller 32 to draw the disk 1 and second erroneous insertion prevention projections 34 in and out of an insert opening, is provided. Notched parts 22a are provided on the upper surface 22 of the movable chassis 20 so that the first erroneous insertion prevention projections 12 are inserted. The tip parts of the second erroneous insertion prevention projections 34 are provided so as to be extended and overlapped up to the upper surface 22 when the erroneous insertion of the new disk 1 is prevented.
