PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network accounting management system that can accu rately accumulate network accounting even when abnormality occurs in an accounting management server or a network system during the execution of jobs. SOLUTION: When abnormalities occur between the controllers of digital copying machines 201-204 and a network accounting server 205, the controllers respectively detect the abnormalities as network abnormalities and display network abnormality messages on operating sections when no job is executed. When jobs are executed, the controllers immediately stop (interrupt) the jobs, check the presence/absence of transfer paper which are not counted for accounting by means of the server 205 when image formation is completed. When the transfer paper does not exist, the controllers display the network abnormality messages on the operating sections. When the transfer paper exists, the controllers display the network abnormality messages and the information on the unprocessed charges which are not counted by means of the server 205 on the operating sections.
