PURPOSE: To provide a gas sensor easy to assemble and repair. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust oxygen sensor has an oxygen sensing element 138 requiring a power in operation. A first electric terminal. 146 is electrically connected to the element 138, and has one or more male protruding end parts 150. A second electric terminal 152 is electrically connected to a wire 158 connected to an external power source, and has one or more female housing parts. One terminal is made attachable to and detachable from the other terminal by the male protruding end parts and the female housing parts. The sensor has a screw nut 120 slidingly installed to a tubular shell 116 having a crimp lip part 118 near the lower end, and this nut is engaged with the crimp lip part 118 and also screwed to an exhaust manifold boss 124 without rotating the shell. |
