SCREEN FOR FLAT PANEL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A screen for flat panel displays is provided to be capable of minimizing the miss landing of an electron beam and reducing the width of phosphor by forming electric field in region of the phosphor so as to correct miss landing of an electron beam automatically. CONSTITUTION: An electron beam is horizontally and vertically deflected by a horizontal deflection electrode and a vertical deflection electrode, respectively. A screen comprises phosphors(10a) for emitting light by the electron beam, and a black matrixes(10b) positioned between the phosphors. A plurality of transparent conductive films(10c) are formed vertically or horizontally on the phosphors and the black matrixes. Each conductive film has a predetermined area respectively and is arranged at a regular pitch. The neighboring two conductive films are insulated each other so that different voltages are alternatively applied thereto.
