PURPOSE: An apparatus for outputting an external image of a mobile communication terminal is provided to output an image by using an IEEE 1394 interface of a mobile communication terminal, and output the output image through a display device. CONSTITUTION: An IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 1394 adaptor module(201) receives digital image data from a mobile communication terminal by using an IEEE 1394 protocol. A frame buffer(202) buffers the inputted digital image data to output the digital image data to an external display device. The first converter(203) converts the buffered digital image data into digital data of vertical and horizontal synchronization signals and color signals. A DAC(Digital to Analog Converter)(204) converts the digital image data of vertical and horizontal synchronization signals and color signals into analog image data to output the converted analog image data to the external display device. A second converter(205) converts the analog image data into S-video format data.
