PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing functional soap, which comprises ligularia stenocephala extract or powder containing a great amount of germanium and has the effects of stimulating blood circulation, preventing aging and detoxifying. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing functional soap containing ligularia stenocephala comprises the steps of: washing ligularia stenocephala leaves, drying them at room temperature and pulverizing them into a size of 200-250 mesh; adding distilled water to the pulverized ligularia stenocephala leaves in an amount of 20-40 parts by weight per part by weight of the leaves and heating the mixture at 60-80 deg.C for about 0.5-1.5 hours; carrying out filtering under reduced pressure to remove the ligularia stenocephala leaves and cooling the filtrate to room temperature; removing the precipitate obtained by the preceding step by filtering under reduced pressure to provide Ge-containing ligularia stenocephala extract or powder; and adding 0.5-10 parts by weight of the extract or powder to 100 parts by weight of a soap base.
