APPARATUS FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATERIALS FROM OUTER SURFACE OF MULTISTAGE ROLLS BY HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE BLADE

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to easily remove foreign materials stuck to the surface of the multistage rolls by automatically adjusting height of blade and secure good surface quality of strip by preventing secondary foreign materials generated during operation from adhering to the rolls. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a pair of racks(42) and a pair of guide bars(43) set up at both sides of a supporting base(41) laid down in a length direction of the multistage rolls with being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance; a cover(44) which is installed between the guide bars in such a way that the cover is moved along the guide bars, and which is expanded and contracted; a blade main body(61) to which the cover is adhered; a motor(48) installed at the blade main body and connected to the racks by means of pinion gears(52) so that the blade main body is moved along the racks; a blade(63) installed on an upper part of the blade main body to remove foreign materials stuck to the surface of the rolls; and touch tube(67) and open tube(68) installed between the blade main body and the blade to control that the blade is attached to the surface of the rolls or detached therefrom, wherein a plurality of rollers(47) moved along the guide bars are installed at both sides of the blade main body.
