摘要 PURPOSE: A disk brake for a vehicle is provided to produce stable braking force by a piston through increase of structural mechanical rigidity and to improve the durability of the brake. CONSTITUTION: A disk brake for a vehicle comprises a caliper housing(20) in which a cylinder(10) is formed; pads(30,30') installed to the caliper housing, to produce braking force by pressing a rotating disk(4); a piston(40) movably installed in the cylinder, to press the pads; a rotating shaft(50) rotatably installed in the cylinder, to press the piston; and a motor(60) providing rotational force to the rotating shaft. Grooves(80) the depth of which is gradually changed from one end toward the other end are formed to at least one of each opposed inside of the piston and the rotating shaft. The grooves are arranged along the rotating direction of the rotating shaft. A ball(90) is rotatably installed in the groove. A return spring(70) is interposed between the cylinder and the piston to return the piston when the braking of the disk is released.
