PURPOSE: A nonflammable interior panel and a method for producing the same are provided to improve strength at high temperature and to prevent generation of harmful gases when fire breaks out, thereby helping to reduce damages on a building and to save life. CONSTITUTION: The nonflammable interior panel comprises 50-85pts.wt of kaolin, 10-35pts.wt of phosphoric acid, 1-5pts.wt of a fiber reinforcing agent and 1-20pts.wt of a light-weighted aggregate, based on the total weight of the mixture as 100pts.wt. The method for producing the nonflammable interior panel comprises: mixing kaolin, phosphoric acid, a fiber reinforcing agent; forming the mixture, wherein the mixture is compress-molded under 50-150kg/cm2; and hardening the molded article.
