PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat long plants such as overgrown weeds, mechanically. SOLUTION: The treating method is characterized by installing a spiral inducing plate 2 at the outer circumferential surface of a rotary shaft 1, and using a rotary body by arranging the shaft 1 attached with the inducing plate 2 almost at right angle against the progressing direction of a machine body and almost in parallel to a treated subject surface. By progressing it while driving for rotating directly over head of the treating subject surface, the spiral and rotating inducing plate 2 go into the group of standing weeds for regulating/inducing the stems of the lengthy plants such as the overgrown weeds 3 with its side surface and outer circumferential surface of the shaft to fall them in the side direction, aligning them in an angle close to the right angle against the progressing direction of the machine body and prostrating by creeping them under the rotary body. By arranging a treating machine adopting the treating method, at the directly front of a rotary plowing part, since the weeds are fallen at the almost right angle to the direction of the rotating surface of a plowing blade 4, the blade tip of the plowing blade 4 buries the fallen weeds 3 surely into soil before projecting parts such as the plowing blade 4 and a bolt in the vicinity of the blade, involve the weeds and wind them around the plowing shaft, it is possible to plow satisfactorily even on overgrowing of the weeds.
