PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust an output current passing through a load connected to a power converter by using a current source connected to the load. SOLUTION: The power converter includes an energy transfer element connected between the input and output of the power converter. The power converter also includes a controller circuit connected to the energy transfer element and the input of the power converter for adjusting the output of the power converter. A current source is also included. The current source is connected to the output of the power converter for limiting the output current of the power converter to a threshold or smaller.
