PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a waveguide converter which has two metal plates bound to each other with a plurality of waveguide paths formed on bonded surfaces of them for transmitting a high-frequency signal makes a space on the bonding surface due to machining precision serve as a low-impedance waveguide path to cause the mutual interference of the high-frequency signal between adjacent waveguide paths resulting in propergation property degradation. SOLUTION: A second groove 10 is formed on a joint face between a barrier 9 formed between waveguide paths 7 and a first metallic plate 1 and the depth of the second groove 10 is made about an odd number multiple of 1/4 of a free space propagation wavelength for a high-frequency signal.
