Provided are a sintered body with spacers, a production method and joining method for the sintered body, and a ceramic honeycomb filter. In forming a filter by joining sintered bodies having spacers, adjacent sintered bodies can be joined while being aligned in the same direction even if the sintered bodies have sintering deformation caused by sintering contraction etc. and the joining can be automatically performed by machinery. A sintered body with spacers is formed by providing the spacers on side surfaces of a columnar sintered main body that is opened at both ends in a honeycomb form and has a rectangular cross-section. The spacers are arranged on at least two opposite side surfaces of the four side surfaces of the sintered main body, and the top surfaces of the spacers on the opposite side surfaces are parallel to each other. The sintered body having spacers is joined to adjacent sintered bodies with a joining agent while being butted against the adjacent sintered bodies.
