PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hair from being caught by the shoulder strap attachment rings of a satchel, and also to effectively prevent backache caused by the contents or the like of the satchel without cushion member. SOLUTION: The cover for the shoulder strap attachment rings of a satchel comprises a cover body 2 for covering the rings and cylindrical insertion parts 3 projecting from the cover body 2 for enabling the shoulder straps to be inserted therethrough and their base portions to be accommodated therein. The back pad comprises an air-permeable pad body 12 made of an air-permeable cushion material, air-permeable cushion members 13 at its portions contacting the user's back, retaining belts 15 and 16 continuously provided on the pad body 12 for mounting the same to the satchel and the cover 1 for the shoulder strap attachment rings provided adjacent to the upper portion of the pad body 12.
