A hybrid beacon is provided to cut down on expenses and to increase productivity by protecting elasticity against an external wall and maintaining coloration semi-permanently. The hybrid beacon comprises a lattice tower(2) erected on the projected bottom of the seabed or the soft ground to soar high into the water surface and composed of a column supporting a power supply unit and a lantern, a discriminator(21) surrounding the outer circumferential surface of the column and a radar reflector(22) reflecting radar signals transferred from the surrounding vessels and transferring useful location signals to the vessels, and a power supply unit(1) installed on the top of the lattice tower and provided with a lantern(10) to light up the sea at night. The discriminator comprises a support body having the appointed volume, an elastic body formed on the outer circumferential surface of the support body and a coat layer formed on the outer circumferential surface of the elastic body and covered to have discriminating power. |
