A multi-domain vertical alignment LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a multi domain by a side electric field due to a difference between a vertical electric field, between upper and lower electrodes, and a vertical electric field between the upper electrode and a lower common electrode. A multi-domain vertical alignment LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprises a lower glass substrate(130), an upper glass substrate(100) spaced from the lower glass substrate as much as a predetermined distance, and an LC layer(120) interposed between the upper and lower glass substrates. The lower glass substrates comprises a lower common electrode formed on a surface of the lower glass substrate directing the upper glass substrate, a dielectric film(134) applied on the lower common electrode, a lower electrode(131) formed to have a predetermined slit on the dielectric film and a lower alignment film(132) formed on the dielectric film and the lower electrode.
