A vibrating mattress having an upper layer of a resilient material and a lower layer of a resilient material, a cover enclosing the upper and lower layers, and a cavity intermediate the upper and lower layers containing a vibrating assembly, the vibrating assembly having an electric motor adapted to produce vibrations, a plate member adjacent to the interior surface of one of said upper and lower layers, and the motor being connected to the plate by at least two separate mounting members which in turn are rigidly connected to the plate to induce uniform vibrations throughout the plate and mattress.
