PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type agricultural machine having optimum number of clutch shifters and devised arrangement of an operation system for a side-clutch mechanism furnished with proper clutch shifters. SOLUTION: Power of an engine 3 mounted at the upper part of the machine, is transmitted through a vertical transmission shaft 12 to the right and left side clutch mechanisms E, and the right and left output parts 1A placed at the lower part. Each of the right and left clutch mechanisms E is furnished with clutch shifters 23, 27 for switching on/off state. A shift operating shaft 22 for transmitting operation force to the clutch shifter 27 is placed in a cylindrical shift operating shaft 20 for transmitting operating force to the clutch shifter 23, to form a double-shaft structure part, and the transmission shaft 12 and the double-shaft structure part are placed back and forth.
