PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for confirming by a color reaction whether cooling water is sucked into a retort-filled liquid content or not, when cooling a pouch container with a spout. SOLUTION: This sealability inspection method of the pouch with the spout is characterized as follows: in a process wherein the liquid content is filled into the pouch with the spout capable of retorting sterilization and sealed with a cap, and then subjected to retorting sterilization, and the pouch is cooled by cooling water, the liquid content does not include a compound A showing a color reaction by being reacted with a compound B, and the cooling water includes the compound B showing a color reaction by being reacted with the compound A, and not decomposed pyrolytically at a temperature of 100°C or higher; after a cooling process, the compound A is added to the liquid content; and suction of the cooling water into the pouch is detected by coloration of the liquid content.
