The device has a cleaning element (2) e.g. dental floss, including ends fixed in extreme ends (A, C) of a bow (1), and a damping unit i.e. tongue (3), for limiting or preventing impact of the cleaning element on a dental papilla during introduction of the element in interdental spaces. The damping unit is arranged between the element and a concave face of the bow. A prehension unit integrated to the bow is a handle arranged in a plane of the bow and having length between 3 to 12 centimeters.
