PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat retardant resin composition satisfying recent requirements in all of flame retardancy, tensile properties such as tensile strength and tensile elongation, traumatic resistance, low heat deformation rate and low brittle temperature, especially exhibiting oxygen index of 35 or more and D hardness of 50 or more and a heat retardant insulation wire and cable insulated by the flame retardant resin composition.SOLUTION: There are provided a flame retardant resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin having the content of vinyl acetate of 30 mass% or less, a polyethylene resin, aluminum hydroxide and modified silicone having refraction index of 1.43 to 1.48, where composition ratio of the polyethylene resin and the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and the content of the aluminum hydroxide are in predetermined range and 5 mass% to 25 mass% of a part or both of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin is modified by maleic anhydride, and a flame retardant insulation wire and cable insulated by the flame retardant resin composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
