PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane ceiling structure and a construction method for the same which: enable a sheet material to be appropriately installed through field adjustment work regardless of stretching property of the sheet material; and can achieve high support stiffness.SOLUTION: In a membrane ceiling structure which forms a ceiling surface 210 by supporting a sheet material 2 in an expanded state with supporting sections 3 at a plurality of positions, the supporting sections 3 comprises: a long base material 21 formed in a manner that extends a downward groove 56, open to a downward direction, in a length direction; a long engagement member 160 which is inserted into the downward groove 56 and wedges the sheet material 2 between an upper face 162a thereof and a bottom face 56a of the downward groove 56; a fastening member 161 which fastens the engagement member 160 to the downward groove 56; and a cover member 181 which covers the downward groove 56, the engagement member 160 and the fastening member 161 and is installed on the base material 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
