The present invention relates to a display apparatus including a display panel and a backlight unit supplying light to the display panel. The backlight unit includes: a light guide plate formed in the shape of a plate; a pair of light sources disposed on both sides of the light guide plate; and a pair of diffusion members diffusing the light provided from the pair of light sources to transmit the light to the light guide plate. Therefore, the light provided from the light sources is transmitted to the light guide plate after diffused by the diffusion member, which prevents the generation of a bright space and a dark space at a side end of the light guide plate. |
