PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam iron which can jet steam with a strong force in a wide range for performing wrinkle stretching of clothes and the like hung on a clothes-hanger and the like effectively.SOLUTION: A steam iron includes: an iron base 2 including a plurality of first steam jetting holes 2b for jetting steam; and an attachment 51 detachably provided on a bottom wall 2a of the iron base 2 and including a plurality of second steam jetting holes 56. One part of the second steam jetting holes 56 is provided further outside in the width direction than the position immediately below the first steam jetting holes 2b. By mounting the attachment 51, not only can the steam be jetted in a wide range in the width direction but also the steam iron can be used by being held in a natural posture.
