The present invention relates to a gold-coated thread for plastic surgery, and to a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a gold-coated thread for plastic surgery, formed by coating gold (Au) on a surface of a filament formed of a bioabsorbable material, and relates to a manufacturing method thereof. The gold-coated thread for plastic surgery of the present invention comprises: a filament formed of a bioabsorbable material, and formed by protruding a plurality of thorns on the outer surface; and a gold coating film formed by coating the gold (Au) on the surface of the filament.
