PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality transmission system which improves convergence or stability of MIMO equalization signal processing and reduces computational complexity.SOLUTION: A spatial multiplex optical transmission system is configured to transmit an optical multicarrier signal via an optical transmission line including a plurality of spatial multiplex paths. A reception device comprises a MIMO equalization processing part 811 which compensates for a crosstalk that is generated during the transmission, for the received optical multicarrier signal for each subcarrier. A transmission device sets a baud rate of the subcarrier of the optical multicarrier signal in such a manner that a delay amount generated between the spatial multiplex paths is settled within a time window for the number of taps of the MIMO equalization processing part in the reception device, repeats a known signal that is longer than the delay amount, twice or more and periodically inserts it into a transmission signal. The MIMO quantization processing part calculates a quantization coefficient of a frequency domain in accordance with a frequency domain equalization processing scheme and converts the equalization coefficient of the frequency domain into an equalization coefficient of a time domain, and equalization coefficient of the time domain is followed by an equalization coefficient follow part 8113.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
