PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot support device suitable for use in a wheelchair that is capable of performing a clean and easy operation and improving safety when getting on and getting off a wheelchair.SOLUTION: A foot support device includes a fixed part fixed to a front lower part of a vehicle body of a wheelchair, a foot plate provided rotatably in a first direction from a non-use position vertically erected toward a use position in which it is turned sideways so that a user's feet are put on it, and in a second direction from the use position toward the non-use position with respect to the fixed part, and a positioning mechanism that can stop the foot plate at the use position, an intermediate position between the use position and the non-use position, and the non-use position, and generates first resistance force resisting the rotation in the first direction of the foot plate, and second resistance force resisting the rotation in the second direction of the foot plate. The second resistance force by the positioning mechanism is equal to or larger than the first resistance force. |
