PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect the position of a slider by a linear scale while protecting the linear scale during attachment/detachment of the slider with respect to a transport path.SOLUTION: A linear conveyor includes: a slider 4 having a frame 40 (first frame); straight-line transport section 2A,2B having a frame 22 (second frame) in which the slider 4 is detachably supported; a linear motor; a linear scale that includes magnetic scales 50a-50c and a magnetic sensor 32; and a scale cover 56 (first protective cover) and a sensor cover 58 (second protective cover). The magnetic scales 50a-50c are fixed to the frame 40 and have a plurality of neodymium magnets 52 arranged in a direction of movement of the slider 4. The magnetic sensor 32 is fixed to the frame 22 and detects a magnetic flux of the neodymium magnets 52. The scale cover 56 is fixed to the frame 40 so as to cover the magnetic scales and the sensor cover 58 is fixed to the frame 22 so as to cover the magnetic sensor 32 in order to prevent interference during attachment/detachment of the slider 4 with respect to the straight-line transport section 2A,2B. |
