PURPOSE:To prevent a delay of action in a hydraulic brake device of the form of controlling the liquid pressure of a liquid pressure source having no accumulator and supplying it to a wheel cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Liquid pressure control valves 42, 44 are provided between a pump 91 and rear wheel cylinders 34, 36, and the pump discharge pressure is controlled to a-times (a>=1) the master cylinder. A change valve 160 is provided between the liquid pressure control valves 42, 44 and the pump 91, and a master cylinder 12, so that the brake fluid from the master cylinder 12 can be also supplied to the liquid pressure control valves 42, 44 when the supplied fluid quantity from the pump 91 is insufficient. Even when the supplied fluid quantity from the pump 91 is insufficient at sudden operation of a brake pedal 10, the supplied fluid quantity to the liquid pressure control valves 42, 44 and the rear wheel cylinders 34, 36 is not insufficient, and a delay of action of the brake can be prevented. The change valve 160 may be provided between the liquid pressure control valves 42, 44 and the wheel cylinders 34, 36. |
