PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image of high quality while suppressing image dignity from decreasing by optimizing operation for gradation conversion processing according to a state of a noise component when performing processing to make an image light while emphasizing a local contrast by performing gradation conversion processing on an input image signal.SOLUTION: A gradation conversion part (15) of an image processor (100) includes: a first illumination light distribution calculation part which calculates a distribution of first illumination light intensities by averaging lightness of respective pixels in a first predetermined region of an input image signal; and a first correction coefficient calculation part which maintains a certain level in a region in which a gradation value of first illumination light intensity is less than a predetermined threshold for each pixel of the input image signal. A first correction coefficient calculation part varies a first correction coefficient less than the threshold according to average brightness that an average brightness detection part (13) detects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
