PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric porcelain composition which especially can be sintered at low temperatures and is of a high dielectric constant and a low loss and suitable for a dielectric material for a multilayer capacitor and the like of a small size and a large capacity. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric porcelain composition is a three component composition of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3, Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3, and Pb(Zn1/2W1/2)O3. When it is expressed by a formula of Pb[(Mg1/3Nb2/3)x(Fe1/2Nb1/2)y(Zn1/2W1/2)z]O3, x, y, z exist within a region surrounded by points A-E. Accordingly, it is having a high dielectric constant, a low dielectric loss, high insulation resistance, and small temperature change of the dielectric loss, and it is possible to provide a small-sized capacitor of high reliability and high capacity. Since a sintering temperature is low, a baking cost is low. Consequently, in the case where this composition is used for a multilayer capacitor, relatively inexpensive metal such as silver can be used without using expensive noble metal such as palladium or platinum as an inside electrode. |
