<p>Compounds of formulae (I) and (II):- where R = residue of a physiologically tolerable acid X = F or Cl indicates that the config. may be alpha- or beta- Compounds have oral gestagenic action by the Clauberg assay. They also have no anti-androgenic effect. They may be used in treatment of gynaecological disturbances e.g. primary amenorrhoea, secondary amenorrhoea, disturbances of the cycle with inadequate yellow body function, endometriosis, uterus hypoplasia, pre-menstrual complaints and mastopathy. 6-chloro-21-fluoro-1, 2alpha-methylene-DELTA4,6-pregnadien-17alpha-ol-3, 20-dione-17 acetate.</p> |
